you managed to download an early copy of this set where there is a Liz Phair tune starting things off. BC re-recorded the set without the Liz Phair tune and added the more appropriate Esther Phillips song.

Yes, its Nina SimonE, and yes that is Elizabeth Shepherd in there.

And as for Jill Scott, and even Ursula Roucker; Yes we considered them, but didn't find a good slot to fit them in. We wanna try and keep these sets to 80 minutes or less.
However, there is always next round.

Great list but how come Ms Badu and no Jill Scott,.... and Amy Winehouse would have been a good addition....maybe Femme Fatale 2 around the corner!
