Thanks as always for a great new set - Modern Architecture. But how frustrating - you don't identify the track between Directions/Echoes and what is actually the Five Corner Quintet (rather than Paolo Fedreghini). Any ideas - I love the stripped down contemporary twist on the Don Cherry/Codona style pocket trumpet/bass mix...
Please identify if you can - or put me on the right track. And the Directions track is cool too - no links to sites on this playlist tho'.
I love Bending Corners - been downloading since the start and I then go and BUY!

What do you mean by that?

We have been trying hard to produce monthy jazz-n-groove sets with a wide variety of themes incorporating a number of different genres.

Do you feel the themes are not varied enough? Is the overarching concept of jazz-n-groove too limiting for you? Are the selections not "bent" enough?

We do appreciate that you are a regular listener and very much appreciate your candid comments, but if you want us "to get back into the game", you'll need to tell us what the game is.

Hi, I noticed your recent podcasts are 64kbps, whereas you used to do 128kbps. The last one at higher bitrate was "Stata-sphere". Can you bring back the higher bitrate?

You have an excellent show, but that lower bitrate hurts my ears on good speakers!

I just heard about this website and I absolutely LOVE IT! What a wonderfully funky, somewhat obscure selection of music from many musical genres I enjoy in the field of jazz, funk, soul, electronica & hip-hop. Some truly ingenius blends. Keep it coming I say!

As for a recommendation for a future theme, what about jazz songs featuring unusual instruments, such as:
-BUDDY EMMONS: (from the album "Steel Guitar Jazz") featuring of course steel guitar.
-YUSEF LATEEF: one of his many songs that feature oboe.
-BELA FLECK: one of his more jazzy excursions that exploit his banjo.
-HERBIE HANCOCK: "Steppin' In It" from the Man-Child CD featuring Stevie Wonder on harmonica.
-CHARLIE HUNTER: "My Son the Hurricane" that features John Ellis on bass clarinet.
And I know there are others I've heard that feature tuba, french horn, alto flute, and a whole whack of unusual percussion instruments.

Anyway, just thought it could be a rather exotic sounding mix. Regardless, I'm a fan for as long as you're kicking the groove. Thanks!

By far you are producing the best "podcasts" out there. Amidst all the self-indulgent crap in the podsphere you are a pearl.

The mixes are just awesome. What can I say. Major props to y'all.

This site is terrifically useful and handy for people with a groove addiction like me. Now I don't need to become an expert on this genre just to listen the best of it! It was very funny to find that almost all of my related bookmarks are on you links list... :)
